The Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy is working to save properties at Whitney Bay. This area is made up of wetland shoreline, restorable lake shoreline, and creek bank. This is such an important area to preserve because it is the most biologically diverse aquatic habitat on Chautauqua Lake! Acquiring this property presents a rare opportunity for the Conservancy to restore lakeshore that was formerly used for camping and recreation. But if we don’t raise enough money it will be sold for development.
